This presentation provides an overview of menopause, and explores the intersection of HIV and menopause, highlighting the unique challenges faced by midlife women with HIV. It reviews the state of the science on menopause among women with HIV, discusses the impact of HIV on menopausal symptoms and conditions, and examines current evidence on hormone therapy use in this population. Practical guidance for recognizing and managing menopausal symptoms for women living with HIV will be shared.
